When you use FORMAT, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Google or email/password.
• Usage data: How you interact with the app, including formats viewed, rounds created, and features used.
• Payment information: When subscribing to Pro, payment is processed securely by Stripe (on the web) or Apple (for iOS in-app purchases). We do not store your card details.
• Scorecard images: If you use the AI Scorecard Scanner, the photo you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to read the scores. Images are used to extract scores for your round and are not used to train AI models.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the FORMAT app experience
• Process your Pro subscription payment
• Enable round creation and player invitations
• Send important service updates (no marketing spam)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase — Authentication and database
• Stripe — Payment processing (web)
• Apple — In-app purchases and subscriptions (iOS)
• Anthropic — AI scorecard scanning
• Vercel — Application hosting

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

FORMAT uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
